Being a mom is really a full time job - and Cory being the great husband that he is, decided to surprise me by flying Emily out for the weekend so that we could spend some time together and so I could get some time away from my Mommy duties...Emily arrived on Thursday morning, and I was totally shocked when she and Cory walked into the living room to surprise me. That day we spent a few hours at the pool and had dinner with Kate. Friday we went to happy hour and walked around downtown Denver. Saturday morning we had breakfast at the Farmer's Market and then drove up to Breckenridge for a beautiful 6 mile hike. I was so proud of Emily for making it to the top. It was a difficult hike, but so worth it! That night we had some great pizza from Fatty's Pizzeria and walked around Breckenridge for a while. We went back to the hotel and got into the outdoor hot tubs. It was chilly outside, so that felt so good! Emily was supposed to fly home on Sunday evening, but the traffic on east bound I-70 was terrible, and we missed her flight! So, she ended up flying home on Monday. It was a great weekend. I hope that she had as much fun as I did! I can't wait until she moves here for good!
While the Sullivans and Curtis were visiting, we decided to take Henry on his first hike near Breckenridge. He did pretty well, but got tired and cranky toward the end. Overall, I'd say it was a successful trip... Here are some pics. 
Henry and I just got back from our extended July 4th weekend in Tucson. It was so great to see everyone and spend time by the pool. It was a busy weekend for Henry - first airplane ride, first skinny-dipping experience, first time sitting in a high chair at a restaurant, first attempt at tasting beer :), first taste of real food, first time drinking out of a cup, and second tooth! It was also his first time to meet a lot of his relatives! We had a good time and got some great pictures.
